Here comes the heat

Photographed a brushfire in Waikoloa today. Sunny, dry weather with gusty winds had this brushfire jumping firebreaks and quickly getting out of control. Once the fire hit the dryland forest it looked like a bomb went off sending huge plumes of smoke into the sky. I lost a lens cap for the video camera when I had to move my car and a couple of lens caps went flying in the wind. I recovered one but I think one flew directly into the flames.
