Geocache Thursday

On the trail to the Petroglyph Cache
On the trail to the Petroglyphs cache in Puako

Geocaching Thursday with the boys in Hilo and West Hawaii. Found one geocache at the Panaewa Zoo. Repaired a cache we found missing before. The cache owner moved to the mainland so we did a little volunteer work putting a new cache in this spot.

Then on to West Hawaii were I created a brand-new geocache (also fell and got some nice slices on my hand and knee on the a‘a lava). Then lunch and finally a geocache in Puako near the petroglyph park. After finding the Petroglyphs cache we watched a pod of whales offshore with one jumping out of the water. Sorry, it was a bit too far out for a photo.

A beautiful day to be out, some light drizzles in Hilo and blue sky with scattered clouds in West Hawaii. If you haven’t tried geocaching visit the site, learn, get a gps and have some adventures. www.geocaching.com
