Grey day over Hilo Bay

Compared to the previous day it was grey due to the vog from the volcano and winds blowing from the south. No doubt West Hawaii gets the lion’s share of vog but when the winds shift the proximity of East Hawaii and especially Volcano and Puna make the vog especially thick.

There’s not much you can do about except maybe move, go indoors into air-conditioned/air purified spaces or get some kind of mask to filter it out for breathing.
