Moving forward after a close, controversial election is the thing to do

For my friends trying to understand why someone would vote into office a person without any political experience please be kind. There were folks on both sides of the close election that are good people that just wanted to see what’s best for the citizens. The folks on the winning side were tired of the business as usual and wanted to make a statement. For them political experience at this point may have even seemed a negative. So I ask that we work together after voting Mayor Akana into office. History has a way of repeating itself and as a society we move ahead. http://archives.starbulletin.com/98/11/09/editorial/chang.html
