Photojournalists love wide-angle lenses and I missed having one on my little PowerShot camera so I found a company that makes a wide adapter for my camera. This little lens is held on by a magnetic ring that is stuck on the front of the lens. The one thing you have to watch is the fact that it vignettes in the corners (the dark areas).

Here’s the normal wide built into the camera, about a 38mm equivalent.

And here’s the wide adapter on the camera which is about like a 17mm equivalent. But it does vignette so you have to zoom in a little. Also there’s barrel distortion and chromatic aberation. I never said it was perfect.

And the final wide image corrected for barrel distortion and some of the dark corners fixed in Photoshop.
