The July 4 semifinal between Germany and Italy started at noon and drew more than 300 people to the Phoenix Club (www.thephoenixclub.com), a German-American cultural center in Anaheim. Anaheim ("Ana's home" in German) was founded by German immigrants, and there are still a lot of residents of German descent.
Dem boys were drinking. They also celebrate Oktoberfest – all month long!
I haven't been there yet. Being half French, I get nervous around groups of rowdy Germans …
